MARRIAGE IS A FUCKING CONTRACT

Adel Bishtawi

Hey dude:
Let’s cut the crap,
And restate the facts,
The story of man and woman,
Is so obviously simple,
To use the known fable,
It’s the mortar and the pestle,
Before the grinding can begin,
The pestle must devise a plan,
To prepare for the onslaught,
By putting the mortar in the mood.
You can take the wife to bed,
But you can’t force her to sex,
The horse must be thirsty,
Otherwise consent to drink,
By whatever ploy to sway,
In the game of foreplay.

Though it is usually called marriage,
It’s in fact an agreement,
Entered by consenting adults,
That permits the man to charge,
And the wife to be attacked,
But it leaves it up to the man,
To decide the time of mounting,
So, it could be early morning,
And it could be late at night,
And better still,
It is done by most men all the time at will.

There’s an oath that I suspect,
Life the bitch is its source,
It’s too vague but the aim is clear,
Both of them are doomed,
To a lifetime of intercourse,
The honeymoon is intended,
To sugar the bitterness of the fact,
And only later she’ll discover,
That marriage is a fucking contract.

But laws are really common-sense,
There’re other things a mum must do,
Not just sex, sex and more sex,
What men don’t understand,
Is that sex is not a meal,
That can be dished out on demand,
Because with time,
She’ll enjoy it less and less,
And as if that’s not enough,
After every such ordeal,
She has to clean the mess.
Truth must be said,
The man who wants it all the time,
Should have married,
His own hand.
But it’s also women’s fault,
It’s sex, sex, sex, sex,
Until they marry the man,
Once that’s out of the way,
In comes the ban.
The bell of sex will always toll,
If she doesn’t like the pestling,
She should have married her doll.

I’m bothered by all this strife,
Between my consenting dad,
And his unconsenting wife,
But not concerned,
My sister and I will be leaving,
And Dad and Mum,
Will have the place again,
They will be old,
But when we do,
They have a promise to keep,
So, they’ll rush to the bedroom,
Close the door,
Draw the curtains,
Get ready,
Kiss, strip, lie down,
Take a breath,
Deep, deep, deep,
And sleep.
